The first time you sign up for an opportunity on this website you will need to sign the volunteer waiver.
You will also be prompted to submit a background check with your application and sign the coaches code of conduct.
Once your background check is approved, you will receive a notification.
For the background check - choose Sports for the program, and Volleyball for the sport.
Youth Volleyball League
Portland Parks & Recreation offers a recreational volleyball league each fall and spring for youth in 3rd through 12th grades. Established teams and individual players are invited to register for PP&R's youth volleyball program, which provides players an opportunity to learn and practice fundamentals, develop teamwork, and participate in match play in a recreational environment. Players in 3rd grade through high school are eligible to participate, and all skill levels are welcome. Each season lasts six weeks. Practices are once a week, and games are played on Saturdays.
Fall 2026 Registration
Welcome to Portland Parks & Recreation Youth Volleyball. Fall League co-ed volleyball season begins Saturday, September 19th for a week game season. Practices may begin September 8th. Please see below for Individual registration options through PDX Volleyball and team registration online registration through Parks Active Net site.
Team and Coach Registration (Begins August 18th, 2026)
All coaches must complete the background check and coaching forms through the volunteer portal. Team practice times are available through the PP&R Sports Office. Once registration goes live and you have SIGNED your team up and paid. Contact Tyler Dean for practice times and gym permits.
