Portland Parks & Recreation is hosting a Rose Garden partner appreciation evening to thank our committed volunteers for their hard work maintaining our rose gardens at Washington Park, Peninsula Park, Ladd's Addition, and Pittock Gardens.
We are looking for 4-6 volunteers to help greet and guide guests, setup / take-down, and provide general event support.
This event takes place on Saturday, August 8th just before a Summer Free For All concert begins at 6pm in the Washington Park ampitheatre featuring: Albina Music Trust presents Time Sound Big Band - A jazz big band amplifying Portland's Black music history & future. You are welcome to stay after and enjoy this free concert in the park!
Meeting Place:
Shakespeare Garden in the International Rose Test Garden on SW Sherwood Blvd, Portland, OR 97205. Enter Shakespeare Garden into your map app to find the location, ensuring its the one in Washington Park.
If needed, a nearby address to use is for the Rose Garden Shop, located at 850 SW Rose Garden Way. In the image below, the Rose Garden shop is circled in yellow, the Shakespeare garden is circled in red. Enter the rose garden and follow a paths to reach the Shakespeare garden.
