Join PP&R for a family-friendly park stewardship day!
Help us install new pollinator-friendly plants at two new pollinator patches, sow seeds, and mulch around plants and trees. These plants will bloom, bringing new flowers, birds, butterflies, and bees to the park.
Activities will be suitable for youth and adults.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about gardening, native plants, and to connect with your neighbors and community. Open to all skills, paces, and abilities, no experience is required to participate.

Meeting Location
Near 170th and Franklin, there will be a green PP&R tent next to the first pollinator patch. This will be visible from the sidewalk and street.
Site Accessibility
There are no restrooms or paved paths at this park. Navigating across soft surface (bark mulch) pathways and grass is required for this event. The surfaces are mostly even. This is a heavily shaded park, and there may be plant debris such as fallen pinecones on the grass and pathways.

Event Details and Reminders
Please bring a reusable water bottle if you have one, and any snacks you may need. Wear sturdy close-toed shoes, clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty, and layers to dress for the weather.
Work looks and feels different for every body. We encourage volunteers to go at their own pace and take breaks to rest.
Keep yourself and your community safe and healthy - please stay home if you are sick. There will always be more opportunities to volunteer with us!

Accesibilidad al sitio
No hay baños ni caminos pavimentados en este parque. Para participar en este evento es necesario caminar por senderos de superficie blanda (mantillo de corteza) y césped. La mayor parte de la superficie es pareja. Este es un parque con mucha sombra, y puede haber residuos vegetales, como piñas caídas, en el césped y los senderos.
