Project details
Join Portland Parks & Recreation and Friends of Terwilliger to enhance habitat in the Terwilliger Parkway wildlands. Together we will remove noxious weeds, including English ivy, clematis and Himalayan/Armenian blackberry. We will also plant native plants at select winter events. By removing invasively growing, non-native plant species and planting a diversity of native plants, we support wildlife habitat and prevent erosion and water runoff.
Please bring your own water bottle, wear closed toe shoes, and dress for the weather. Instructions, tools, and gloves will be provided. For the safety of staff and other volunteers, please stay home if you are feeling sick
Please register ahead of time by selecting “respond” for an individual or “respond for a team” to register more than one person. If you are not comfortable creating a login to register for any reason, please reach out to monica.walker@portlandoregon.gov and we can help you get registered.
