Pittock Garden Tuesday Volunteer Day

Description

Join the Tuesday Pittock Gardens volunteer crew! Every Tuesday, rain or shine, volunteers gather in the garden at Pittock Mansion to care for the plants.  We welcome gardeners of all experience levels to join, you’ll get to work with Portland Parks & Recreation’s skilled horticulturists and OSU Master Gardeners, who have years of experience. Volunteering is a great way to learn and improve your gardening skills.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals who can commit to volunteering on a regular basis, rather than as a one-time event.

  • We meet at 9:00 am and end at 11:30 am.
  • Click Respond to sign up
  • Meet in front of the gift shop.

Site Accessibility

There are two restrooms in the garden and a water fountain. The garden is accessed by paved paths, which are flat and free of holes. Shade is limited in the garden and there are two to three benches in the area for sitting.

If you have questions about the accessibility of the event, please email us. If you have an ADA accommodation request to be able to participate in this volunteer event, please use the 311 ADA Accommodation Request webpage.

Parking is located in the lot at Pittock Mansion, there is plenty of spots available during the volunteer work party. Parking passes will be provided, please have the Parking Kitty app downloaded on your phone.

  • Parking passes are sent to volunteers the Friday before the Tuesday volunteer day. If you sign up after the parking passes are sent out, please plan on paying for parking.
