Join PP&R and Forest Park Conservancy to help restore Forest Park Park. Volunteers will be hiking up to 2 miles from the meeting location. We will be working on maintaining the trails in the parks. This is a great way to get outside and enjoy nature. 

Please bring your own water bottle, wear closed toe shoes, and dress for the weather. Instructions, tools, and gloves will be provided. For the safety of staff and other volunteers, please stay home if you are feeling sick.

Bees are frequent visitors to this park! They are often found buzzing around spring and summer flowers and in the grass. Bees are important beneficial pollinators.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering to keep Portland's natural area parks healthy, beautiful, and safe for people and wildlife! Here are a few tips to get you ready for your stewardship event.

Registration is required for all stewardship events. All tools, gloves and training to do the task is provided.In order to ensure your comfort and safety, please remember to dress for the weather, wear close-toed shoes, bring a water bottle, and be ready to get dirty! Stay home if you are experiencing symptoms of any contagious illness or have had recent contact with someone exhibiting symptoms of any illness.  While groups are welcome to join many of our regularly scheduled stewardship events, please contact the event coordinator listed in the description before arriving with a large group. This will ensure that there are enough gloves and tools for everyone to work. We are also available to schedule special service events at your group's convenience during the week or on weekends. Learn more about programs for groups. 

If you are looking for community service to fulfill court requirements, please call 503-823-5121. You must be registered with our program before undertaking any community service.

Program: Natural Areas and Trails

Join PP&R and Forest Park Conservancy to help restore Forest Park Park. Volunteers will be hiking up to 2 miles from the meeting location. We will be working on maintaining the trails in the parks. This is a great way to get outside and enjoy nature. 

Please bring your own water bottle, wear closed toe shoes, and dress for the weather. Instructions, tools, and gloves will be provided. For the safety of staff and other volunteers, please stay home if you are feeling sick.

3. Scheduling

We will schedule you after the phone screening.


4. Attend Your Community Service Shifts

Arrive on time and ready to work! You will receive 2 bonus community service hours for showing up on time for your first shift.


5. Add Your Own Service Hours

After you attend each community service shift, sign into your Get Connected account to add your own hours.
