Volunteer: Cloud Forest Fridays in Washington Park

Join Portland Parks & Recreation in the Cloud Forest rhododendron garden in Washington Park most Fridays, rain or shine. Spend a couple of hours amongst the trees, weeding, mulching, planting, and learning about invasive plant management. 

We meet at 10:00 am and end at 12:00 pm

Please register ahead of time by selecting “respond” for an individual and “respond as team” to register more than one person. If you are not comfortable creating a login to register or have any difficulty registering, please contact kayla.miles@portlandoregon.gov.

Meeting Location

We will meet near the restroom building at the Oregon Holocaust Memorial and the project site is located right across from here.

Join Portland Parks & Recreation on the MAC Trail in Washington Park most Mondays, rain or shine. The MAC Trail winds its way through the park, connecting community and visitors to the parks many amenities and attractions.  Spend a couple of hours with us, weeding, mulching, planting, and learning about invasive plant management. 

We meet at 9:00 am and end at 11:00 am

Volunteer: Pittock Garden Tuesday Volunteer Day

Join the Tuesday Pittock Gardens volunteer crew! Every Tuesday, rain or shine, volunteers gather in the garden at Pittock Mansion to care for the plants.  We welcome gardeners of all experience levels to join, you’ll get to work with Portland Parks & Recreation’s skilled horticulturists and OSU Master Gardeners, who have years of experience. Volunteering is a great way to learn and improve your gardening skills.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals who can commit to volunteering on a regular basis, rather than as a one-time event. 

We meet at 9:00 am and end at 11:30 am.

There are two restrooms in the garden and a water fountain. The garden is accessed by paved paths, which are flat and free of holes. Shade is limited in the garden and there are two to three benches in the area for sitting.
