Volunteer: Pier Park Stewardship DayHelp us keep Pier Park vibrant! Join PP&R for a monthly volunteer event to help with a variety of gardening and land care opportunities throughout the park. Regular activities include weeding, pruning, mulching, and plant installation. This is a great opportunity to learn more about gardening and native plants and to connect with your neighbors and community. Plant care activities may vary monthly. Meeting Location The maintenance building near the park entry off of N Bruce and N James. Site Accessibility There is an accessible restroom onsite. Pathway surfaces vary throughout the park. Some pathways are hard, paved surfaces, and others are similar to soft surface trails. There are some benches throughout the park adjacent to pathways. The park is heavily shaded by many beautiful trees. Some areas may have open sun exposure. If you have questions about the accessibility of the event, please contact us. About the Park Pier Park is a beautiful park in North Portland with many amenities for park visitors. Home to many trees, there are little gems throughout the park, from small pollinator patches featuring pollinator-friendly and native plants to a fairy garden and the new home of the Belmont Goats! PP&R has also worked in collaboration with the Friends of Pier Park for many years in supporting park stewardship efforts to sustain this special green space as a resource for neighbors, community, and wildlife for future generations.
